Please find below the new Microsoft Teams functionality that became available in January 2021. We hope the fact that the Teams communication platform is developing so rapidly makes you as happy, as we are!
Chat & Collaboration
Approvals in Teams
Approvals tool enables everyone, from frontline employees to top management, to easily create, manage, and share questions requiring approval with colleagues. You can quickly start an approval flow from a chat, a channel, or from the Approvals app. Just select an approval type, add details, attach files, and choose approvers. Once submitted, approvers are notified.
Auto send
Now you can keep being productive even without a network connection. You have the possibility of writing and editing messaged while you’re offline. These messages are automatically sent once the device is back online.
Add up to 10,000 users to a team
Create an org-wide team to promote collaboration and communications across the entire organization. Within one tenant, global administrators can create up to 5 teams with up to 10,000 members. Connection with Active Directory will enable to maintain current membership for both new employees and those who leave the company.
Meetings
Meeting chat settings
Meeting organizers can now choose from three chat settings. Chats can be “Disabled”, preventing the organizer and participants from using the meeting chat. Alternatively, they can be set to “Only during the meeting”, allowing participants to send messages only during the meeting. Lastly, the default will be set to “Enabled”, allowing chats for all meeting attendees at any time.
Shared calendar in a Teams channel
Create and share a calendar with members of a specific channel. When a channel meeting is created, Teams automatically creates a new post in the channel’s activity feed, and you’ll be able to add it to your personal calendar. All channel members except guest users will have access to the calendar.
Have productive teamwork!
