Yesterday, Microsoft company announced the beginning of the first phase of Skype Translator preview program. For now, it will be available only on Windows 8.1 devices and only for two spoken languages, English and Spanish, and also for more than 40 languages for instant messaging.
Skype Translator relies on machine learning, which means that the more the technology is used, the smarter it gets. Microsoft long-term goal is to deliver the best Skype Translator experience on each individual platform for our more than 300 million connected users.
